So, with my new obsession with Colin Firth, I've been browsing the internet seeing if I can find anything with him sneezing. I came across this little blurb from August 2008 about the Toronto Internation Film Festival:

Easy Virtue (world premiere): Based on Noel Coward's witty play about love, lust and allergies. Colin Firth, Jessica Biel, Kristin Scott Thomas and Ben Barnes star.

I have no idea if this movie is out yet or if anyone has heard anything. But it sounds a bit promising. Hope if there is sneezing, it's from Colin.

I don't think so. Here's what I found out about it (and don't read if you don't want to be spoiled):

The twenties have roared... the thirties have yet to swing. John Whittaker, a young Englishman, falls madly in love with Larita, a sexy and glamorous American woman, and they marry impetuously. However when the couple returns to the family home, his mother Mrs Whittaker has an instant allergic reaction to her new daughter-in-law. Larita tries her best to fit in but fails to tiptoe through the minefield laid by her mother-in-law. Larita quickly realizes Mrs Whittaker’s game and sees that she must fight back if she’s not going to lose John.

A battle of wits ensues and sparks soon fly. Mrs Whittaker manipulates every situation to undermine her, while Larita remains frustratingly calm and engineers sassy counter attacks. Before long, Mrs Whittaker’s manipulation starts to work on John and Larita feels their love is in danger of slipping away. In a grand finale, where the secrets from Larita’s past are revealed, she finally makes a break for freedom from the suffocating house…..

Oh yea!

There is at least one sneeze in it. It is from the daughter-in-law. I found a clip on youtube of it. The link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYbVwH0PstY.

So it's Jessica!!!! Sorry girls....

Many thanks to Metalknight. Another great find.

I went to see this film in the cinema today and it is a real sneeze classic. The lovely Jessica Biel sneezes about a dozen times in all throughout the film- there is a running joke about her character sufering from an allergy to flowers.

Wow, that was really bad acting from Jessica, I think. It looks so fake. They better should have Colin Firth sneezing sadsmiley.gif I bet he's making a better job with faking a sneeze! They just should give him the opportunity to show his sneezing talent ;-)

Irrespectively of the question if Firth's sneezes would have been better or not (but I assume they would be...) I can't wait for seeing all Jessica's sneezes!
