Interesting survey but if organised by Kleenex it is clear why blowing into a tissue is promoted...

Interesting article. Perhaps part of the reason people are embarrassed to blow their nose into a tissue is that tissues are just so inadequate: they are often too small, resulting in leakage of snot, and do nothing to muffle the sound of the blow. Now, if people would try a nice cotton handkerchief, they would find that nose blowing could actually be a pleasant experience, and would be more inclined to do so.

Good to know that i' m not the only one who 's embarrassed to blow my nose in public.
